Creature Feature is a new exhibition of 12 original oil paintings by Canman , celebrating the enduring imagery of classic Halloween monsters, supernatural creatures, gothic mythology, and the strange characters that have haunted our imaginations for generations.

Halloween season is creeping closer, and Visions Tattoo, Piercing & Art Gallery in Medway, Massachusetts is getting ready to celebrate with two days of spooky tattoo artwork, classic monsters, creepy characters, and Halloween-inspired flash.
Classic monsters have a unique place in popular culture. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, mummies, creatures, and other supernatural figures have been reinvented countless times—but their ability to capture our imagination never seems to disappear.
Creature Feature explores that visual language through Canman's perspective as a contemporary fine artist.
Rather than simply recreating familiar horror characters, the exhibition approaches Halloween mythology as a starting point for imaginative storytelling. These paintings bring together classic monster imagery, gothic architecture, supernatural folklore, cinematic horror, and dark fantasy to create a collection that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
Canman's work has been described as surrealism and imaginative realism, with an interest in making fantasy believable. His paintings frequently draw from mythology, dream imagery, emotional states, and the visual world around him.
